Ciara's "I'm Out" Video Featuring Nicki Minaj

The 2013 BET Awards are currently on and it appears that Miss Ciara debuted the video for her song "I'm Out" featuring Nicki Minaj during the pre-show. Cici is puttin' in some serious work in this video and is showing us that she is not willing to let her career die out just yet. The New "Harlem Shake"

Ok, so apparently there is a new dance craze called the "Harlem Shake"that is sweeping the globe. I actually shouldn't say that this is "new" at all because when I was younger, our culture was also made up of a dance that we all loved called the Harlem Shake (my fellow 90s kids know what I'm talkin' about!).

When I was out a few nights ago, I witnessed this new "Harlem Shake" dance for the first time, and it seems to consist of people just standing around doing nothing, and then suddenly dancing around crazy in each other's faces like they're having a seizure of some sort. Apparently the "Harlem Shake" track itself was produced by American DJ Baauer, who is signed to Diplo's label. Anyways, here's a vid that shows people doing these seizure-like moves to this song. Beyonce's Life is But a Dream.

I've just watched the HBO documentary, "Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream" and it's quite good! Everyone should check it out on demand if you can (although I'm sure it'll air on HBO again soon). Beyonce has been known in the past for keeping her personal life on the hush hush, which is something that I've actually always respected a great deal. But, she's finally opening up about some aspects of her life in this 90 minute documentary and it had us all waiting in anticipation on the edge of our seats!

Beyonce is clearly a very gracious, sweet, down to earth woman who also just happens to be a musical world phenomenon. In this documentary she takes us on a journey through her pregnancy, the difficult process of dropping her father as a manger and taking more control of her musical career, as well as her undying love for her hubby Jay-Z. She only continues to prove that she is one of the hardest working artists in the music industry and the film ends with a sweet cameo from Blue Ivy herself!!! Such a cutie she is. Riri has finally landed herself a #1 album on the billboard charts with her most recent release, Unapologetic! I have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised by the tracks off of this album and I'm quite relieved that she has given the whole dance-craze a rest. She pushed out an impressive 238,000 units in the U.S. alone in her first week. Congrats to our gyal Riri and keep doin' ya ting!!!

Queen Kelly has finally released a visual to go along with her single, "Ice". I don't really know why it took her so long to put out a video for this track because the song itself was released awhile ago, but she is puttin' in some work regardless. Although this does remind me a little too much of the "Motivation" video, we must give smooches to the queen nonetheless.

Another Year, Another VMAs!

Tomorrow night, the VMA's are back! This year's host is Kevin Hart, and artists expected to perform include Miss Riri herself, Frank Ocean, Nicki Minaj, Weezy, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Alicia Keys, along with a few others. Y'all are gonna have to look up the different categories and nominees cause I'm way too lazy to list that. Oh and apparently Riri & Breezy are supposed to be sitting in the front row only 7 seats away or some shit like that so you KNOW people are going to make a huge deal out of that! But anyways, smooches to the VMAs and everyone tune in tomorrow night at 8pm eastern on MTV of course!

New Album from the L-I-Y-A-H!

Blackground Records is set to release a posthumous album from the one and only Aaliyah sometime in 2013! Supposedly it will consist of 16 unreleased tracks and I know I'm definitely looking forward to it.  Apparently Drake's obsession with Aaliyah has carried over into him being one of the executive producers on this project and all I know is that he better not fuck this up. Sadly Missy and Timbaland aren't expected to be involved, but smooches to this news anyways!!

Another Year, Another...

BET Awards y'all! Grab yo weed, kool-aid, fried chicken, Alize, and anything else that embodies the stereotype of being black in this country, cause the BET Awards are airing tonight. It should be an absolute mess as it is every year, and count on some hood-ass shit to go down consistently over the course of the night!! This year will also most definitely consist of a tribute to Whitney Houston, which knowing the producers over at BET, will probably include something classy like rolling out her dead body onto the stage to perform....


Some things I am interested to see though, are the rumors that Jay-Z and Beyonce will be there (meaning of course Kim K. will be not far behind on Kanye's dick stalking Beyonce's ass everywhere she goes tonight). Also, Samuel L. Jackson will be hosting, and I do love me some him. Anyways, if you're looking for a reason to get fucked up and/or have a good laugh, tune into BET tonight at 8pm!!! Smooches.

So I've really come to like this up and coming artist, Azealia Banks, especially because she reps HarlemWorld to da fullest. Here she is performing at Coachella. I really like her flow and her songs have hot beats! I think I posted "Fuck Up the Fun" in the past, but everyone should check out her other songs too. These two are prob my favs though. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded First Week Album Sales...

So Nicki Minaj's 1st week album sales in, and we must congratulate her on holding down the #1 spot on the Billboard charts!! She moved about 253,000 copies in her first week & hopefully will continue to keep sellin well' in the upcoming weeks. Smooches to Nicki.

Nicki's 1st Week Projected Sales...

So, I may be the only one, but I'm always interested to see how big artists do their first week sales-wise. Nicki's sophomore effort, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is projected to sell around 250,000 albums in its first week, which is definitely good news for her considering how hard it is to sell albums this day in age, but it is also way lower than the 600,000  sold that various sources were initially estimating. Anyways, smooches and goodluck to Nicki.

Christina Milian has joined Nicki Minaj & Drizzy on Lil' Wayne's Young Money label. I'm VERY interested to see what direction Weezy has for C.
