J.R. Smith Staying With the Knicks.

J.R.'s agent has announced that the Knicks and last year's 6th Man of the Year will sign a 4 year deal with the Knicks for around $24 million. J.R. had a great regular season last year despite falling apart a bit in the playoffs, so hopefully he can build on his performance and become more of an elite, consistent player. I'm happy about this news! Smooches.

And That's All, Folks.

I know it happened a few days ago, but I've yet to comment on the fact that the Knicks were ousted from the playoffs by the Indiana Pacers in 6 games mostly because I didn't want to think about it. The Pacers physical style of play down low & rebounding domination was simply too much for the Knicks to overcome in this series and it certainly manifested itself. Melo did his best to put on a show and try to save this series in game 6 as the Knicks attempted an epic comeback on the road, but it wasn't enough.

The Knicks will have to spend the offseason working hard to continue to make the offense gel and possibly add some needed depth for their big men who were dominated throughout this series in particular.

In terms of individual play, Melo did what he was supposed to do for his team but didn't get the support he needed. J.R. Smith was ice cold throughout this entire series and that really really hurt us offensively. In addition to this, Tyson Chandler was uncharacteristically disappointing in this series as well. I don't know what his deal was. On a positive note, Iman Shumpert really came on strong during this series, and Raymond Felton showed us why he was the right choice for this team over Jeremy Lin.

The Knicks will have awhile to reflect on the season and hopefully will come back stronger next year in hopes of going even deeper into the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if J.R. re-signs, and if Kidd, who also had a lackluster playoff performance, will retire. Anyways, Smooches.

Barely Clinging to Life...

The Knicks are on the verge of elimination after another very poor performance against the Indiana Pacers. They are now down 3 games to 1 aka their season is basically over. I've been extremely disappointed with the Knicks' effort, mostly on the offensive side of the ball in this series particularly.

Ever since his suspension in the first round against the Boston Celtics, J.R. Smith has been virtually useless in this series shooting a horrid shooting percentage and not providing any help to this already anemic offense. The Knicks are also getting murdered on the boards and giving up far too many offensive rebounds and second chance opportunities to the Pacers.

Game 5 is in New York tomorrow night and it could very well be the Knicks last unfortunately. I hope that they can somehow find it in themselves to dramatically turn this series around, but judging by their performance all series long, this simply doesn't seem feasible. No smooches to you Knicks!!!

J.R. Smith Wins 6th Man of the Year Award!!!

Once again, please excuse my tardiness in posting, but CONGRATS TO J.R. SMITH FOR WINNING 6TH MAN OF THE YEAR!!!!! This award is extra special because J.R. had his mind so set on starting in the beginning of the year and really committed to being the best bench player in the league. Mike Woodson was able to focus J.R. in like no coach has before and helped him become the amazing player he has been this season! We will need J.R.'s consistent effort to make a deep playoff run, and I believe in this man!! Smooches.
