The NBA Regular Season Is Near!

And more importantly, the Knicks' regular season opener against the Brooklyn Nets is exactly one week away. The NBA regular season officially kicks off Next Tuesday, October 30th and I simply can't wait. Many eyes will be on the 2012-13 Knicks team, as expectations are high among critics and fans alike.

There are some things that worry me about this new season though. The main issue seems to be that of the health of the NY Knicks' players. Some players currently dealing with injuries already include Stat, J.R. Smith, Marcus Camby, and now even Tyson Chandler. These injuries don't seem to be serious as of yet, but if they continue to be an issue during the season and down the stretch near playoff time, the Knicks could be in a shitload of trouble. Many people have a problem with the fact that the Knicks are the oldest team in the NBA age-wise, and this could potentially lead them down a negative path.

On the other hand, I believe that if the Knicks can stay relatively healthy and play to their potential, which would of course have to include the meshing of Melo & Stat, they have a chance to possibly make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. I suppose we will just have to wait and see. I'll try to touch more upon this next week. Smooches
