"Girlies"

This may be a sensitive topic to some because after you read this you may realize that you are in fact a member of this coveted identity group, but it is something that really needs to be addressed. That something is the notion of a "girlie".

Girlies can be found all across the U.S., in every racial/ethnic group, and maybe in other countries as well- a global girlie so to speak. Girlies are those group of girl friends that most likely do some of the following: Write a <3 (a heart) after every facebook post they make to one another, take pics with other girlies where your heads are all tilted to one side (always results in the HOTTEST pose), calling other fellow girlies "bitch, slut, hoe, slutbag, whore, cunt", all obviously as terms of endearment, abbreviating (abbrev) almost everything you say to one another- totes (totally) girlie, you going to the "caf" (cafeteria) later?? "Um it's been 2 days and I neeeeed a mani/pedi with my cuntbags" Saying the word amazing "A-mazing" over and over and over again. A girlie also always has to greet another girlie with a smooch, on one cheek preferably.

Some girlies, also surprisingly have negative qualities to them as well. In social situations, i.e. college, social climbing is an important characteristic that every girlie must possess. It is a given that a girlie must get as close to "queen b" status as possible (yes I did just reference one of my fav movies Mean Girls- Lindsay's peak). This means that a girlie MUST NEVER talk to anyone who is not contributing to their rise to queen b girlie status. If a "commonor" (a non-girlie) approaches you with a greeting, you must either look them up and down and give them a fake smirk, or say hi to them in a way that makes them feel as if they are the most irrelevant thing to walk this earth. A girlie may also have to let other girlies, only the ones that will benefit you socially of course, know that they are your bff or that you LOVE them every other minute of the day even though you barely know their name. Girlies also love to wear similar outfits out- leggings go well with any girlie outfit, and a designer purse is a MUST-MJ, Longchamps (sooo cheap), Prada, etc .

No girlie group is complete without a group to call "the boys" or boysies also. "Had such a fun night with the boys playing pong and slutting it up with my girlies." The boys always make the night "epic" and love to sing along to songs by mainstream hip hop artists such as Lil Wayne, Jay-Z or Eminem because they are soooo gangstaaaaa. Music wise a girlie also loves shouting the lyrics to a classic Miley (Party in the U.S.A.) or J. Bieb's "Baby" feat. Luda (because Luda is the shiiiit) song because they've had too many vodka-sodas and are soooo schwaaasted right now!!!!
