Apparently Jason Kidd has agreed to sign a multi-year deal with my NY Knicks! Kidd is obviously still a solid point guard, something we could definitely use, but he's also gettin' up there in age. The plan is to use him as a back-up to Lin but that is supposedly not a given anymore.
The Houston Rockets have now offered Lin a deal that he has signed on paper! The trick in this though, is that Lin is still a restricted free-agent so the Knicks can match any offer that another team is trying to sell to him. I love Jeremy obvi, but I think he'd be a complete idiot to leave New York for Houston. There is no greater market for sports than here, and even if Lin is offered more salary money in Houston, he can surely make more here off of endorsements and such by remaining in the big apple.
The Knicks have to make Lin an offer very soon, and from what they've been saying, it doesn't sound as if they are considering letting him hop on a plane for Houston anytime soon. Anyways, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes of this whole predicament. Smooches.
