Just as things were looking semi-good again for the Knicks despite this rollercoaster of a season so far, Amar'e Stoudemire has to go and fuck up his back again. This injury is not looking good at all for the Knicks, who are still hoping to push towards making the playoffs with only about 16 games left in the regular season. It seems as though this back injury may keep Stat out for the remainder of the season unfortunately.
The Knicks are currently trying to fight of the Milwaukee Bucks for the 8th & final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but they have a tough schedule coming up. Their new coach has done a great job of inspiring them on the defensive end, and has the Knicks at an impressive record of 7-1 since the departure of that bitch ass D'Antoni.
Despite what people are saying about the fact that we may not need Stat, I think that's a bunch of bullshit. More importantly though, now is Melo's time to step the fuck up and carry this team into the playoffs as the Knicks would ideally like to somehow land into the 6th seed which would allow them to avoid the Miami Heat or Chicago Bulls in the 1st round. That task is looking more and more difficult to accomplish at this point though.
The Knicks are going to have to continue to play tough-ass defense, and grind out wins if they want to make the playoffs, which is not going to be easy against teams with better records. But, I'm not giving up on them yet. We will just have to sit back and continue to keep ourselves strapped in for this ride. Hopefully it will be less of a bumpy one in the future. Smooches.
